A revolutionary new product for pharmaceutical lyophilization, the LYOGUARD Freeze-Dry Tray provides increased yields, decreased cleaning costs and reduced risk of product contamination and worker exposure – all money-saving benefits for the freeze-dry pharmaceutical industry.

LYOGUARD Freeze-Dry Trays utilize a unique GORE-TEX membrane construction developed specifically for lyophilization. The unique microporous membrane structure allows LYOGUARD Freeze-Dry Trays to effectively contain and protect product, while also featuring a high vapor transfer rate, which minimized the lyophilization cycle time.

Working with several leading pharmaceutical companies in the development phase of the product, Gore designed the single-use, disposable packaging as an easy replacement to the open metal trays traditionally used for freeze-drying.

LYOGUARD Freeze-Dry Trays can be used throughout the drug manufacturing process, from formulation R & D and clinical manufacturing, to full-scale production. In addition, the multifunctional package design provides convenient handling, storage, and transport and permits autoclave sterilization. LYOGUARD Freeze-Dry Trays are compatible with most lyophilization processes, and require no modification of existing equipment.
